Working With SEC
Southside Electric Cooperative is a member-owned rural electric cooperative established in 1937. Headquartered in Crewe, VA, we serve 55,000 homes and businesses in 18 counties across central and southside Virginia. Our four district offices are located Altavista, Crewe, Dinwiddie, and Powhatan.
Southside Electric Cooperative employees live in the areas we serve. They are very active in our communities and participate in a number of ways to improve the areas in which they live. SEC employees are active volunteer fire fighters, EMTs, first responders, youth sports coaches, and Sunday school teachers, to name a few. They volunteer to serve in these roles because they want to see their communities thrive. You may have seen SEC representatives at various community events recently throughout our service area. Making Southside Virginia a better place to live and work is very important to us. It is inherent in our mission as a cooperative and it is a commitment we make, not only to our members but to our co-workers and our families.
